Below the blue story line is my article from Yesterday. I have spoken to my Dr and the Chemist as well as sending a few emails out. As of this morning there was a lack of knowledge over the recall over this drug 10’s of thousands in the UK take for pain. I have been assured the 2 companies that I mentioned Relon Chem and Kent Pharmaceuticals Limited are the only 2 manufacturers of Tramadol to have the call back. I was told this morning by NHS Scotland “We are unsure, please call your Dr” I called Relon Chem and Kent Pharmaceuticals and asked why both had no warning or batch number recall on their home page as of 7am this morning, about 10 hours after the email I got mentioning https://www.gov.uk and the recall news. So for now, if you take brands from either Relon Chem and Kent Pharmaceuticals Limited and they supply to Scotland as well as England in large quantities, I would suggest you call NHS 24 on 111 from any phone as it’s free. I hope people who take Tramadol awoke to this today and acted by making sure they were not getting the recalled Tramadol. It took my Chemist 5 minutes to fully make sure the batch I last received were safe for me. Had I scared anyone I am sorry, never my intention. I have been thanked by a ton of people as they take Tramadol and their batches were on the call back list. As always, please speak to a trained, knowledgeable medical person to make sure your batch is safe. Many people have reported Dr’s didn’t have clue about this today when they asked. Many had to get their Dr to call the Chemist to get an update. Dr’s should get this notice not just Chemists. Awful mess!!! Many angry people.
