Westminster – Reform SNP voice distribution of new MP’s from Scotland

PLEASE SHARE THIS PETITION TO GIVE SCOTLAND MORE VOICE IN WESTMINSTER! https://www.change.org/p/rt-hon-david-cameron-mp-david-cameron-mp-john-bercow-mp-peter-mundell-mp-uk-parliament-reform-procedures-to-reflect-party-distribution-of-new-mps-from-scotland

The following is quoted from The National, dated.11 May 2015:

“The monthly Scottish Questions in Parliament looks set to be an odd affair. Under the current system the Secretary of State for Scotland will answer six questions from the Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, while 56 SNP MPs watch on from the back benches and are allowed to ask one question.”

At present Scotland has one MP each from the Labour, Conservative And Liberal Democrat parties, and 56 MPs from the Scottish National Party. Because these 56 MPs are not in government, or the official opposition party, their debating priveleges are curtailed, meaning virtually all of Scotland’s democratically elected MPs have an unnecessarily limited voice in the UK Parliament. Any true democrat will immediately realise that reform is urgently required. The UK government should act quickly to ensure that this reform takes place in an effective and fair manner.
