Well this is refreshing to read from any Political leader, these can’t be empty words of a man wanting power as he has power. To ask a Tory Government to stop it’s friendship and support to Israel Saudi Arabia and Bahrain is what most in the UK never mind Scotland wanted to hear. The SNP sit in the same seat with Alex Salmond stating Scotland should have a right to recognize Palestine not so long ago. Since the story below I did on December 10th 2014 more countries have stepped forward in wanting Israel be looked at for War crimes. And I think this will happen. The surge of less war Politics is slowly creeping into out Words News, mainly Alternative but it is showing itself in a big way! The link below opens to many blogs. Note also Jeremy Corbyn, a left-wing leader, but no Right wing David Cameron, this is how the Media deceive us. I share this story for many reasons. The obvious being peace

Our World is changing and 5% USA has no chance but to sit back and watch everyone try for peace

The new leader of Britain’s opposition Labour Party criticised Saudi Arabia and Bahrain on Tuesday for repressing their own citizens and called on Prime Minister David Cameron to stop his “uncritical support” for such countries. Jeremy Corbyn, a left-wing leader who many in his own party say will never win power, praised the nuclear deal with Iran and cautioned that the crisis in Syria could not be solved with “a few more bombs”.

Corbyn particularly singled out Saudi Arabia for criticism.

“Nor does it help our national security to give such fawning and uncritical support to regimes, I mention only two but there are many I could mention such as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain,” Corbyn told Labour supporters in Brighton. He said the kingdoms of Saudi and Bahrain “abuse their own citizens and repress democratic rights” and that British weapons were being used “on the assault on Yemen”.

Corbyn, who has in the past met with representatives of Palestinian militant group Hamas and Lebanese Shi’ite Muslim group Hezbollah, called on Cameron to raise the case of Ali al-Nimr who was given the death penalty after taking part in demonstrations in Saudi Arabia’s oil-producing Eastern Province. Corbyn also said he opposed renewing spending 100 billion pounds on renewing Britain’s nuclear deterrent. He also said he wanted a new United Nations Security Council resolution on Syria.

  1. I like to read about British politics. It’s usually a bit more left-wing than politics here in the U.S.

While British influence in the world has decreased over the past century, the Brits should not underestimate their influence. About a year or two ago, Cameron decided he would not go along with an attack against Assad, which had great sway on the U.S.

The U.S. doesn’t really like to undertake military action totally alone.

If things go wrong, Americans always like to say, “Look – we’re not the only one…”
