My Personal Recovery – We can all recover – Reach out – We are here for you all

This CAN be true for many

So, recovery is the title, and it’s a slight lie. Today, 19th August 2018 I am in a slightly better place than I was when I wrote this for example. Finally in the ‘Mental Health’ System – LONG, HARD, ROAD AHEAD – I SEE HOPE!

My Last blog about this topic from back in April 23rd 2018

That blog above was my last blog about these issues we all suffer from, be it us or other we love or call friends. The last blog I done regarding our shared mental health issues, pain, suffering, depression, whatever is holding us all back is something I used to share every day. I had this belief that ‘Talking out is helping’ – The more I awaken from the mental distress I caused others via taking less Opiate based drugs, the more I see clearly that some of the things I did write over the years all the way back to 2011 were voices I had no control over. For me to sit and read my own words back shows me how awful I was. But like most I am not cured, I am not out of the woods. I think I have came to accept what is wrong with me, but more important, learnt to not throw my issues onto those I love. After all, we ALL have a Recovery story don’t we?

GOD I MISS THIS!!

Along my journey I have become a soldier of war same as most, fighting for my Partner, my kids and other loved ones. What I see today is a FAMILY OF PEOPLE WHO CARE. Recently I was invited to start doing a Podcast on Football by 2 amazing lads. The Podcast is about Celtic FC and it’s called the Pod Black Brimmer. Spreaker and Itunes by the way 🙂 The UTTER abuse thrown at me from loved ones and friends here in Edinburgh for being part of a Podcast with THAT title is funny to be fair, but I am clever enough to understand, won’t stop me doing the podcast however 😀 I love my Celtic. Those who know me know I don’t hate, I am an Edinburgh lad exposed to the same life we all have been exposed too just in a different place, but to the 2 lads Brian and Davie who gave me a chance to show myself I can sit in my Man-Cave alone and talk Football, I can’t thank them enough. I suffer with 6 Disabilities, Suicidal thoughts, M.E. (Myalgic Mencephalomyelitis) + Fibromyalgia + PTSD + Agoraphobia and Psychosis and yeah IT’S HARD and the medication is harmful, but we must take these tablets and potions to stay level, do I agree with drug consumption to help us? Not really, but I don’t drink Alcohol. I see Alcohol as a legal, socially acceptable way to lose the feelings we feel, so each to their own, I just see Alcohol as a damaging liquid, just an observation through my own journey. I am not a scared person, I am aware these issues make me honest to a level I could be harmful to others, I cannot control these feelings, so I MANAGE my life along with my Amazing partner who I have known since age 14 and been with since age 17, she is my everything, my rock ❤ I don’t do these Podcasts or blogs to be a wee Snowflake or feel all special, no, it’s me sitting in a room alone talking about what I loved to do, and miss still to this day, Football, yeah I miss the Touchline, changing room, the chance to be social and all that comes with working with kids and adults in Football. NOTHING in Football can be done alone, it’s a Team game, no matter what your involvement is, you need others to carry and help you along the way. So I MUST thank Brian and Davie for noticing I was ready, and also everyone who loves me and who I love back x

Before we can even start to recover to a state of existence, first we MUST find reason. For me personally my reasons were easy. My Kids, my beautiful amazing partner, my Mum, Sisters, Brother, nieces and nephews with others and definitely friends. Lads I have known since I was a kid when my Dad used to run businesses and shops all over Edinburgh, all older than me, lol. Most of my Friends are older than me, so rooond you all, it’s great to be the youngest 😀 They all rip me brilliantly, make fun of me, but I do the same to them, IT’S A HEALTHY THING, and if any of you are reading. Do Remember!! One: Clerry Jungle and Two: Yous are Dicks 😀 Joking aside, my reasons were as simple as yours, because I know YOU struggle sometimes too. The game of Life is very simple for me. I say ‘LIFE IS HARD – SO DON’T MAKE IT WORSE FOR YOURSELF’ – Personally I believe if we start there with that saying, it’s a good start, we ain’t making things worse.

Linkin Park – Somewhere I Belong
Via: Linkin Park on You Tube

Sadly like you I suffer. The pain is horrific and my mind has thoughts I have to battle every moment. Managing THIS I can’t do alone. First and foremost my partner has helped me, guided me, taught me and keeps doing so. My 2 sons too help me, 2 amazing lads who are amazing men with loving partners and are Dads themselves with two little kids, a wee boy and a wee girl just waiting on their GAGA to jump into their lives. When the time is right, life will allow it, I pray this is true. The harm and hurt I have caused others is an issue I must get past and find a way to find hope and live. Suicide is a thought, also an act, but first a living breathing thought.

Depression #FuckDepression!!! is a darkness most have, some higher than others, but suffering is suffering. I used to think I had it worse, but I was 32 or something then 😀 Here I am just turned 45 and I have found ‘Comfort in Home’ has been a huge thing for me, the only down side is due to my Disabilities, like you, like anyone, our home can become a comfort zone we don’t want to escape. Recently I restarted singing lessons to start a Chester Bennington Tribute act and it’s on hold for a few months due to circumstances, but I can’t wait to get back to the freedom of Music. Look down the right hand side of this page, songs and images. Music saves us, it unites our souls where we can co-exist on ANY LEVEL. With UTTER RESPECT Politics, Politicians, Religion, Sport and the WORST CULPRIT! Money, that divides us. We do need money, but if all we are doing is chasing Money and the NEED to consume with money, all we are doing is buying moments of happiness. Trust me, I am an expert at this 😀 For now that is it. I am no harm, how can I be with two little Girls who call me Daddy around me? How can I be anything other than my Daughters best friend, because I am, we are pals, we laugh, we cry, we sing. They are my first reason. Two little fun girls who don’t know they saved me, and might never know. Again, and I say this on Facebook a lot, why don’t we listen to our Kids more. Even if you don’t have kids, go and spend time with the blank canvas that a child can be, an innocence so amazing it can only be loving fun.

Some leave clues to sadness and pain, if we look and listen, we can be helped

Often in life our very saving Grace can be right in-front of us. All we need to do is listen, and we can be helped. Not saved or cured, just helped. That is my story, I don’t want notoriety or hits, nor do I need to be liked by anyone, I am loved and liked by people already, but do feel free to become a friend, I find it hard to let people in, but so do you maybe? Trust must be earned. So I am reaching out, if you want to reach back, I am here. Be kind to others, and please remember to include yourself friends, be kind to you too x

R.I.P – Muhammad Ali – You Were More Than a Boxer – An Icon For All Time

Iconic Image: Ali KO's Liston in first minute

Iconic Image: Ali KO’s Liston in first minute

20160604_125315

I have a signed hand print from Ali

Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr., Born January 17, 1942, left this World June 3, 2016 (aged 74). Soon after the Liston fight, Clay changed his name to Muhammad Ali upon converting to Islam and affiliating with the Nation of Islam. Ali then faced a rematch with Liston scheduled for May 1965 in Lewiston, Maine. Ali refused to be inducted into the armed forces, stating that he had “no quarrel with them Vietcong.”My conscience won’t let me go shoot my brother, or some darker people, or some poor hungry people in the mud for big powerful America. And shoot them for what? They never called me n*gg3r, they never lynched me, they didn’t put no dogs on me, they didn’t rob me of my nationality, rape or kill my mother and father…. How can I shoot them poor people? Just take me to jail.” He was systematically denied a boxing license in every state and stripped of his passport. As a result, he did not fight from March 1967 to October 1970—from ages 25 to almost 29—as his case worked its way through the appeals process. In 1971, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned his conviction in a unanimous 8-0 ruling (Thurgood Marshall rescued himself, as he had been the U.S. Solicitor General at the time of Ali’s conviction). Ali was like a cloud, he just breezed through life. He will be immortal, stranger still the last few weeks I have been on Twitter trying to explain to American Religious Fools that Islam is not bad, that all Muslims should not be removed from the USA as some American people want due to Donald Trump racism, some American people REALLY want all Muslims out of the USA but will take credit for Ali, irony never fails to impact my mind. The irony today is many who want Muslims removed from the USA will sit and give Ali praise and say “Ali was American” and try and steal that pride they deny other Muslims with Words of hate. The video to the right where Ali ask’s “Why is it all about White People” made me understand we must respect our World and the people in it. Ali is plastered all over my house in some way. As a kid doing boxing and not allowed to fight by my Dads orders Ali was my Hero as a boy, sadly by the time I took up boxing as a fitness and discipline exercise Ali had already been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.CkFKsVCXEAArWBD Today as an adult in the Gym every day fighting to live I have Ali images and quotes all around me. His quote “Your will must be more than your skill” is a quote I used as a football manager, sure we can have all the skill required to succeed in what we do, but if our will is not as strong, our determination not as good as our skill, then we will fail.

Crazy song, the name of this song is just wrong – But today it means something!!

To be a boxer is to be disciplined, to be more, and to be better but not better than any person, just a better version of yourself. The demands on a boxer are as high as it comes. Boxing is a lonely sport, it’s an individual sport and Ali made it look so very easy. Today or tomorrow when I do my Gym work I will work harder for Ali as he inspired me as a kid and his words helped me be a better person. He is my hero, I idolise the man for all the good reasons and forget any bad ones. He lived over 30 years after being diagnosed with his illness and he kept himself low profile right till the end. His faith in God I am guessing helped him fight and boy did he fight in and out the ring like a true champion. You will never be forgotten Ali – إلهي تبقى لكم وعقد لكم وحفظ روحك

Top 10 Beautiful Moments Of Football Respect – The Beautiful Game

David Luiz (Beazil) gets fan to applaud James Rodriguez (Colombia) at World Cup

David Luiz (Brazil) gets fans to applaud James Rodriguez (Colombia) at World Cup

Being in football, playing football, supporting football I have seen the ugly, oppressive, unfair aspects of the beautiful game, but also the human side, humility and humanity of our species do the most remarkable, honest compassionate things. Here are 10 good ones. The greatest sport on Earth with 89% supporting/playing/involved in football. These are just the facts, it’s OUR religion, love and desire, it hurts us when we love it, and in turn it can love us when we hate it. For those who love it, I know you have been through every emotion like it’s a part of the family. Now that is a bit special

The Mistakes I Made As A Football Manager – And Why I Must Go Back

This is where it Started. All these boys are no 22 year old+

This is where it Started. All these boys are now 22 year old+

15 seasons in a row I was involved in Football in a non playing capacity. I had to stop playing the beautiful game when I was around 23 years old due to a knee problem I suffered when I was maybe 17 years old, can’t really remember but it was the reason I became a manager. For a few years I was almost depressed that I couldn’t play football again as I had done so since 6 years old, I was just too sore. Then my kids, 2 sons, hit School Football around 1997 I think was my first involvement as a parent or coach as I managed to do, even tho it was hurting me, I had to do something, Football to this day is my life away from life, first the people in my own home are my reasons, paying bills, buying stuff, being a parent, a partner and all that comes with being in a normal family I am was and will always be in, but when I could, I did football. These days I write tireless crap about our World and also the Scottish Independent movement, I enjoy writing for The Celtic Network as it gets my football brain back on. This was the last image of us as a team. I remember going home so disappointed it was over; I missed my boys, my team, I had to get back to it somehow

One of the best moments I was involved in

One of the best moments I was involved in

Ace News Services  I really enjoy with an Editor who is a good friend but also teaches me how to interact as a blogger better. Editor at the Celtic Network however has to give me a row 😀 I can cross the football line by accident, but he is a good lad and trustworthy. The day I had to leave the kids team above as both my Sons would be in High school with 1 already there and my son in this image who was about to go, I was really upset at having to say goodbye to, they all went on to play a good level of football and from time to time I bump into one of them, kinda feel like I helped them become the decent lads they are today as young men. I became Manager in my own right when my older son and his mates went to High School leaving me with my youngest son for 2 years in School football with me as manager, you stop School when your own son leaves for high school, other parents them step in, I would tell anyone to go and work with kids at this age, just amazing moment to always remember

My 1st Adults team, Athletes to a man they were :D

My 1st Adults team, Athletes to a man they were 😀

We even made into Scottish media, media outwith Edinburgh

We even made into Scottish media, media outwith Edinburgh

So I had no football and a mate I call a mate today said “Why don’t you take this adults team” I was like “OK!” Totally blind to the difference of adults football, something I totally get today. So I stepped in, way above my head, lacking any adult experience, but I look back to the team above as the team and guys and my time in football that made me able to handle all football emotions and players who would try and hit you 😀 Most of the lads were decent lads, all of them were giving me everything to be fair, but a few were testing my temper as I really wanted to create something many people could do, almost like a huge family all helping to make it work. The guys above I still speak to a few. As a Celtic fan I was asked to take this internet based side called ‘Jambos Kickback, for Hearts fans based in my the East side of my City Edinburgh. I took a few games as I really missed football with the kids, so I thought “Yeah, let’s take this somewhere and have fun” And it was more than fun 😀 Being a Celtic fan from the East of Scotland, being Manager of anything called Hearts is kind of hard to pull off, difficult in our Scottish culture. I write this as most who will read this will not be from Scotland. So I embarked on trying to build something, coaches came and went, friends came and remain to this day, I loved to be on the touchline. Football in my brain and my mind back then was like a big game of chess, one manager would move a player so I would see it and counter his actions. Over time I guess I got not bad at it as we started to really develop and Gorgie Hearts then had a Sunday adult’s side and a few kids’ teams, WE had really worked hard to get something not just for ourselves but also the local community where we were based. I allowed guys to run it so I could focus on the Adults team I still had, I gave unwavering trust to people and in the end they let kids down, I was sad it happened but no adults let me down, they let the kids down. I carried on with Gorgie for a few years then I let go off Gorgie Hearts with my heart set on going back to a really good level of kid’s football

Amazing memories in my last season with Gorgie Hearts

Amazing memories in my last season with Gorgie Hearts

With no football I guess I just needed a break for a few months at this stage. I had given everything I had, made friends and enemies I guess. I don’t hold enemies today from football, maybe some people hold my name in a bad light, but we can only be who we are and I was probably too honest at this stage of my development helped by my left hand man who was with me all the years I did this, this friend was an ex graded football referee, the lad never left my side and booted my backside on a number of occasions where I had crossed the line verbally at a Referee, he was a bit older but today I look at him as my Football Dad, out of all the people who came and went he never, he used to give me a herd time, never in-front of other staff and certainly not the players and this is why we remain more than friends today, he would call me or wait till we were alone before he would give me a hard time. Saying that when we won a trophy he was always first to say “Well done Shaun” As you can see in the image above he has his hand on my shoulder, he looks proud of me and this is something that I needed. Should I go back to football, and I have spoken to him already we will go back together as a team and do things right. He has a career being a ref and 13 years with me to annoy him 😀 So this is a man I need in my football life

Kids born 1994 - Fernieside Football Club

Kids born 1994 – Fernieside Football Club

So no Gorgie Hearts and again I just needed to rest my mind, then a good man who owned a club called me up one night and said “How do you fancy making this team better” The kids above were low level team winning 25% of games and not moving in any direction. When we left for offered pastures new we had won trophies, these kids got to play in football stadiums as a team, kids, parents the club, staff, everyone made this an amazing few years. I regret leaving this team but I did so on a lie, the first time I truly felt betrayed in Football. But it was all good, I was learning. There I was about 34 years old learning to be a football manager. Here I am at 42 years old with 15 years and 4 football teams managed only of experience behind me. I try and stay a long time with a team as it can take a year to gain trust. I see guys in and out of teams every month and they need to just relax and do what they are actually excellent at, be them coaches or managers. I was starting to see the bad side of football and it was with kids. Adults shouting and swearing, Dads almost living their own dreams through their son’s football, and this was my biggest mistake as a Football Manager, I really wanted it so bad for my son’s I thought I always knew better, but this is all part of learning in football and life, and something I have learnt, I just want to go and make new moments. Both my sons should be Pro football players; I got in the way a lot of the time. Saying that there are about 100 Trophies, awards and winners medals in our cabinet in my main room, so we didn’t do too badly when we look back but hindsight kills us all in the end. I like to get these trophies and framed photos out from time to time, give them a wash and while washing them remembering how we won them. All through these 15 years my partner and 2 sons were behind me and we behind my sons when we played, my, my partner and 2 sons were just an amazing team and we loved to win, I miss those days, we all do. Today my sons are grown up, 1 moved out the other to move out, but we have two little girls now, so a new chapter in our life begins. Who thinks I will get my Daughters into Football? 😀 HA HA Sorry, a joke friends throw at me 😀

Just a few, these are my Trophies we won

Just a few, these are my Trophies we won, we don’t get many trophies as manager, odd

My Church :D

My Church 😀

Then the pain came. I joined Civil Service Strollers, a really decent sized senior side from Edinburgh, a team I could have played against Celtic, Rangers and all the pro teams. This was East of Scotland Under 21 level and at the age of 36 there I was with a huge club with a board of directors to answer too and I should have gave up football before this, long before this, I was hurting. Was strange at first having this, but over time you learn from running a club these guys mostly just want what’s right for their clubs. Not all the lessons you learn in football are bad, I have had amazing people at my disposal to ask for help and advice, something I did right till I had to stop due to my disability I still have today. I am fighting hard to try and get back into football, unpaid, just because I refuse to stop living, it will hurt but I can look in a mirror and say “I am helping people” Remember this? 15 Years in Football – I want more! Interested in Experienced Football Manager? I am desperate to get back to football for 2016/2017 season. I have had a few calls and there are few phone numbers saved for more talk early in 2016. Where ever I end up I will no doubt still be one of the younger managers. Losing ability to play made me get a football brain early, as I say it’s like chess. You learn how to make dysfunction into functioning. You learn to make everyone from the players to the first aid guy feel important. But most of all, I want to win. If I end up with kids winning won’t matter, it will be about progressing young minds into better players who one day will want to win for the right reasons and also be better young men. Part of my job was to teach them football but at the back of my mind I wanted to make a young kid better, if they are failing in class or are bad bannered I didn’t down them or make them feel worse and rebel more, sadly as most managers do as I seen, to this day if I see a manager swearing I will report him to the SFA, how can we allow a kid to learn if they can’t make mistakes? We must allow them to make mistakes, with these kids I made them my friends and they trusted me. Something we learn as we go in life. I say always when I write in general terms it’s the small detail that is always in the end the big story. For me it is here also. SO! Any club owners fancy an amazing journey with moment to last a life time? Contact me above.

Scotland: Did the paid shills show themselves to us all yesterday?

THE FULL STORY IS NOW VISIBLE!

THE FULL STORY IS NOW VISIBLE!

You will have to read this to get it. We all know the lengths the psychopaths will go to in order to divide the Scottish Yes movement, the image above is one we can all relate to well enough, but last night did we out the shills? Now if you didn’t see it, I fell for it, noticed my error but unearthed, possibly the heart of the people I have been warning this and other groups about, with the help of others

12107912_177327389273189_7642084447672100750_n

This was the image that someone spotted. This told us a few things 1. People share and like things without looking 2. I was right and so are all the people I speak to in private about these people. Now I don’t know if someone tried to play me yesterday, but if they did I spotted it very quickly, deleted the blog I did (Image below) and then wrote this about what I am certain is the Unionist’s disguised as Yes voters MY BLOG RE: SALTIRE PETITION! I WAS DONE GOOD!

My original post

My original post

I am not naming names and I won’t name names. I have said it long enough now to be more than certain, you shouldn’t be surprised as you seen it before and after the Referendum. I am not alone in my thinking, there are many of us and I just happened to be the one who was willing to share the thoughts, who the other people I speak to are, is irrelevant. These ‘Shills’ showed their hand and weakness last night without doubt. They are here, they are your friend, your information gatherer and they share things to cause division or comment to make people turn away.

12077525_154658348215180_817229744_n

I see them so clearly now it is so easy. I did a blog a few weeks back, 10 minute read and a 5 minute video then within 2 minutes a person wrote “You can’t spell” Now they probably were right but I told them they hadn’t read it and said “Why don’t you do better” then shared the image above to them. Make no mistake Scotland, these people are paid, they exist and we are on to them. I might be blogging the story but trust me, the people doing the research with me you do know. I also keep saying something huge is coming and it is, this is why they outed themselves is such an obvious way, they are DESPERATE to see weakness in the yes movement, it was almost like they meant to do it, but they never, they fell for the oldest trick in the book in ‘Trying to behead a dead guy’ You can take meaning from that if you can understand it. Make no mistake, people tried to play me and you last night and I outed them with help. If you seen it you know the names, if you never, you best go ask.

More to come!!

Beats By Dre Presents: Serena Williams – ♫ Rise ♫

beats-serena-hed-2015

The world knows Serena’s story. It’s one that reads: adversity, doubts, haters, health obstacles, criticisms, comebacks and victories. This story is a window into Serena’s soul, into a chapter so personal no one in the world knew about until today. A window’s glimpse inside Serena Williams’ life as she continually pushes past adversity and naysayers in preparation of winning her 22nd major – inspiring our generation to ‘RISE UP’ a thousand times again. Beats By Dre Presents: Are doing lots of video’s just now on You Tube. This one caught my ear. Superb song and video. This by Andra Day this song, it’s 20 or so seconds into the video. Amazing song

Why Glasgow Celtic Signed Tom Rogic

hqdefault

Nike Academy Product Tom Rogic

Spend the last few days watching this kids rise to fame, playing and beating Brazil and winning his move to Celtic and all in-between, his story is what most of our dreams were as young boys wanting to play for Celtic. I know most Celtic fan’s know he won ‘The Chance and was given a place in the Nike Academy. He then played 1 season with Central Coast Mariners playing 24 games, scoring 5 with a healthy 18 assists in that season. January 2013 and Neil Lennon and John Park seen something in a young Australian guy and get the kid in the door. Loaned out to Melbourne Victory for season 2014/2015 only to return injured he sat and watched as Neil Lennon left and Ronny arrived probably like every player thinking “Will I get a chance” We only have to look at Nir Bitton to know Ronny will play the best 11 he has available to them. Man of the Match at the weekend away to Dundee United and we are slowly seeing a young man turn into a man. Lets hope this story keeps going, enjoy Tom’s start. Even his Aussie mate Ryan McGowan rates the kid. Enjoy meeting Tom a little bit more, he is a very relaxed confident kid.

A Journalist’s Report On The Nike Academy, Tom Rogic and “The Chance”<Click)

This is a fascinating interview. We speak to the journalist, Aidan Ormond, who works as a freelance for the excellent Football magazine, FourFourTwo (http://au.fourfourtwo.com/). Aidan was invited by Nike to become “embedded” with the “The Chance” and cover the progress of the Australian players. Aidan had a lot of time to observe the entire process at close range and he shares his observations with the NPL. There just has to be a good movie or min-series script in this story! A part of Toms development

The journey this kid took is stunning to say the least, only in the last few month have Celtic fans said “Here, there might be a player here” And from what I have been researching we certainly do have a superb player here who can go all the way to the top. The video below is I guess the reason Celtic signed Tom, this kid who is still 23 years old had a bad injury last season and is now almost where Ronny would want a player to be fitness wise, I expect a contract extension for the kid in the next 6 months, I truly think Ronny’s ability with young players will make Rogic a mainstay in the Celtic 11 in seasons to come. Above and below are a few links and video’s, maybe people who didn’t know his story will like this more but I knew, and I still enjoyed this. We have a player here, no argument

Celtic head to Sweden – Squad depth shows in 3-1 United win

d9c2742cd29157ca17499246d40c0a11

Usually as a Celtic fan an game away to Dundee United would be measured as important and we would always play our strongest 11, today showed Celtic to be the new force they have actually became, where we are going as a club and a playing staff that will only improve. If we win on Tuesday against Malmo Ronny is God, should we lose on Tuesday Ronny will be up for the sack by many people. One thing we do know is, no matter what! We have European football till Christmas. But I KNOW we will get past Malmo #Fact

Tuesday 25th - 19:45 Malmö (2) Vs Celtic (3)

Tuesday 25th – 19:45 Malmö (2) Vs Celtic (3)

I was out and about and recorded today’s game so had to spend all afternoon ignoring text messages and calls from people who I thought wanted to talk football or I would talk football with, you know the story 😀 Doing everything possible to get through town, out your car and into your house, with people in it nasty enough to tell you the score 😀 And to then sit down with a glass or cup of choice and enjoy the game, it worked today but when I seen the starting 11 I was like “OH NO” Even Scott Allan couldn’t get a start! Last year it never worked up in Inverness but there is something new about this squad, more together and Ronny is using his squad BRILLIANTLY! We will see how brilliant on Tuesday night!

Red card in first game - Who seen this coming by THAT ref?

Yellow card in first game – Who seen this coming by THAT ref?

Nine changes and with Ambrose I had ‘The Fear’ but there he was again, my good mate Leigh Griffiths 😀 I don’t actually know the guy I just know people he hang around with. Remember this? My October 1st 2014 – Open Letter to Leigh Griffiths <Click there and >>HERE<<by Etims) Well the good man put me at ease when on 17 minutes a superb through ball by Izaguirre Griffiths split the 2 center halves rounded the keeper and passed it into the empty net. This was 100% from the training ground, Leigh is beating the off-side trap more these days and you can tell this is practiced, very easy goal to look at but took a lot of hard work and boring routine training, but the players see the repetition working, so it’s all coming together slowly and will get amazingly better, trust me!! 🙂

Griffiths does what he is getting really good at, how good can he become?

Griffiths does what he is getting really good at, how good can he become?

Celtic AGAIN wasted chance after chance and stranger still most of them from Commons but it was his 2nd full 90 Minutes since May! Wasteful again and this is an issue we are hoping is just something teams go through for a few weeks. Since Boyata gave the ball away twice against ICT in the 4-2 game all he has done is give the ball away mostly, I hope today’s rest helps him get over what is probably a confidence issue, Ronny will be getting his confidence back up I am positive Ronny has this effect on players who’s desire he knows is worth coaching in football and life, this is what Ronny does, he coaches the mind of a football player also. Celtic finally got the 2nd goal after a United corner was cleared, Common’s ended up stand side after a counter attack with a good cross needed, he duly delivered but before the ball could get to Griffiths for a tap in United defender Mark Durnan stuck a foot out hoping his keeper would kick clear, well a mess ensued and the ball rolled over the line for 2-0 Celtic

Durnan puts past his own keeper

Durnan puts past his own keeper

The 2nd half ended on a sour note and a terrible challenge by Ambrose leading to a United penalty, again like the Malmo and Kilmarnock games before we should have been 5-0 up, this time a penalty just before half time slotted home by Chris Erskine. So what should have been another easy half time chat and a cup of tea for Ronny for the 3rd game in as many weeks meant he was probably giving them a hard time, but knowing deep down we had more than enough to beat United to come with and this is what happened. Half Time: United 1-2 Celtic

United pull one back with the last kick of the ball 1st half

United pull one back with the last kick of the ball 1st half

The 2nd half was a different affair altogether, Celtic had the game and pressed well, United never looked like getting a 2nd apart from some strange goalkeeping from Logan Bailly on his Celtic debut struggled with a back-pass and his clumsy challenge on Muirhead had the United fans shouting ‘Penalty, apart from that Celtic were steady, Rogic I thought had a good game today in the Scott Brown role beside Mulgrew who was subbed but ok for Tuesday, Commons got BT Sports man of the match but I thought Eoghan O’Connell had a fantastic game, and him twice giving CB partner Ambrose a roasting is proof enough Eoghan has more to his game than Ambrose, this kid should get a good run in the side in the league as I think he will progress playing alongside Van Dijk, maybe he has lost that chance. I thought he really played very well, and with the 3rd goal also coming from an academy player it almost shoots down the “Celtic don’t produce enough home grown talent out of Lennoxtown” argument that I seen in some media last week

2 Academy products making it look easy

2 Academy products making it look easy

Celtic put the game to bed with 15 minutes to play with Coll Donaldson getting a foot to a goal bound shot from Callum McGregor, I think the ball was heading in anyway but it hit enough of Donaldson to wrong foot Zwick and roll past him. Celtic had several shots and corners in the second half, Ronny got his substitutions right at the right times and all in a good 3 points. McGregor did really well in a loan year in England and came back to Celtic and scored a few at the start of last season then fell away and sadly got injured, yesterday we seen a glimpse of what this kid can do, he can play and if played every week I think would get double figures in goals, a headache for Ronny but a really good one, we still need another striker and a few defenders however, lets hope Champions League Football and it’s fiscal prize can get us the players we need. A certain ex Celtic striker would walk back to Glasgow if given half a chance and also to clear up, Griffiths will happily see out his career at Celtic unless a huge bid comes in but I doubt that highly, we will see

McGregor gets back on the goal trail

McGregor gets back on the goal trail

Now we must wait till Tuesday to see if resting 9 players was a good call, yesterday it is a good call but did all 9 players need rested? I am not 2nd guessing Ronny’s tactics here, far from it I think Ronny is slowly taking Celtic to a new level. We won’t spend silly money on players but the ones Ronny are signing are showing they are decent and will keep improving further, look at say? Johansen and others, his buying record is good and he also makes others better with Bitton being 1 example. Unfair to judge his player buying and selling as he came in the door last summer and brought some dud loan players with him with the added Scepovic gamble that never paid off. Slowly I think Celtic are becoming a TOP European side in terms of football ability. We are a Global Giant, no arguments but Ronny wants to match as much as possible our Global appeal and name with a way of playing. He is moulding a very good unit of players and also getting rid of dead wood he doesn’t see being long term good for the team, Pukki and Balde are gone and I think Stokes and Boerrigter will be out the door this transfer window also with maybe a few still to come in, probably is this is being done on the principle of us playing in the Champions League or 100% the Europa League should unlikely fail on Tuesday against an average side, good start to the season however, pre-season and early domestic football has been planned really well by Ronny, we will see on Tuesday if he got it spot on, I think he has

Great team of 3 took a HUGE risk today, worked well

Great team of 3 took a HUGE risk today, worked well

My man of the match was Eoghan O’Connell, every time he was called on he did his job but he also did well on the ball, Celtic play with the ball around the back a lot patiently looking for gaps to play in, the kid showed today he can do this

See you all Tuesday when we will all be celebrating Champions’ League Group Stage Football. 😉

Nick Kyrgios bounces racket into crowd during tantrum at Wimbledon

Nick Kyrgios loses his temper during his win over the seventh seed.

Nick Kyrgios loses his temper during his win over the seventh seed.

Wouldn’t usually give this kind of story the time of day but I seen a family member from Australia and his friends complaining about this kid. 20 Year old, and real bad attitude. I researched as hard as I could, the kids has potential to be really good but his make up in person is going to kill his dreams. I don’t know who coaches this kid but it must be a NIGHTMARE dealing with this everyday of your life. I did Football (Scottish Type) for 15 years, sport is sport, attitudes good  can make a team win, but 1 bad apple can bring the whole team down, or in this case an entire Country. I will leave more links below, amazing this story has traveled the Globe so fast. Thanks to a family member for mentioning his name 😉

It was his third match at Wimbledon in five days, and the third time Nick Kyrgios had attracted the attention of the umpire for the wrong reasons. The rangy Australian 20-year-old was a set into his third-round victory over No7 seed Milos Raonic on Friday, when he missed a break point, span around in a rage and flung his racket so forcefully into the grass that it bounced several metres into the terraces, narrowly missing a spectator – an incident for which he received a formal warning, or code violation, from the umpire.

Two days earlier, Kyrgios had a stand-up row with a different match umpire after being reported by a linesman for muttering expletives. That came after his opening match on Monday, during which he received another code violation after refusing to play on after disputing a line call. The subsequent mutter, “dirty scum”, had not been directed at the chair, he said later. Was he concerned, an Australian journalist asked the player shortly after Friday’s match, that his behaviour was attracting a lot of criticism back home? Kyrgios shrugged. “No.” Well, what was his view of those who disapproved of him? “I don’t care.”

A nice return ... Nick Kyrgios gets his racket back.

A nice return … Nick Kyrgios gets his racket back.

During last year’s US Open he found himself close to being disqualified after picking up three code violations in one match for swearing and smashing the ball out of the court in frustration. He could have suffered the same fate in January’s Australian Open, after again attracting censure for swearing at fans (he went on to reach the quarter finals before an encounter with Andy Murray proved a step too far) But, for everyone who may disapprove of his behaviour, there are many more who welcome the emergence in world tennis of a player as colourful as Kyrgios.

While he may win censure from umpires, the player is often wildly entertaining on court, chatting and joking with spectators. Frequently during his defeat of Raonic, met with a line call he didn’t like, he would gawp at the linesman in mock shock, and drop his racquet and ball where he stood, drawing inevitable laughter. By the end of the match, with the help of vocal Australian fans in the crowd, many of the impartial crowd were on his side. “People are starting to get on him and to say they don’t like the way he’s cut his hair and he’s talking too much,” added McEnroe, “but the truth is, he’s a breath of fresh air for the game.” Or, as the former Wimbledon champion Andy Roddick told the New York Times about Kyrgios’s behaviour: “Would I want my child to do it? Maybe not. But would I watch it? I probably would.”

Asked if he felt tennis would benefit from a few more characters, as in the days of McEnroe, Ilie Nastase and Andre Agassi, Kyrgios said yesterday: “Yeah, I guess so. I like to watch entertaining tennis. I’m not the biggest believer in saying nothing out there or being a robot. I feel you should express yourself. You know – it’s a sport.” Tennis’s new bad boy was born in Canberra in 1995, the son of a Greek-born tradesman father and a mother who was born as a princess in Malaysia,

he entertainer ... the other side of Nick Kyrgios

The entertainer … the other side of Nick Kyrgios?

That may be almost heretical in the obsessive world of tennis, but there are plenty who are rooting for Kyrgios. After the legendary coach Nick Bollettieri – mentor to Agassi, Monica Seles and many others – tweeted his admiration earlier this year, the Australian replied, “please let me know where I can improve”.

This week, Bollettieri did just that, sending a lengthy letter in which he said Kyrgios could be one of the world’s top players. “You are also a character and have a very engaging personality on the tennis court … The game needs ‘characters’. That being said, you must also be able to maintain discipline and avoid negativity.”

But if Kyrgios appreciated the American’s detailed input, he couldn’t quite find it in himself to be grateful – when asked about the letter after his match, he said with a shrug: “I didn’t really read it in much detail.”

John Newcombe, three-time Wimbledon champion: “Nick is an exceptional talent and he doesn’t beat to the same drum as everyone else – he’s a real individual. Some media people will take the little negative things and build them into big issues, rather than looking at more positive things, which far outweigh the negative things.”

Todd Woodbridge, nine-time Wimbledon doubles champion: “How you are going to be remembered at 19 or 20 is irrelevant. He is going to mature and he is going to grow and realise some of the things he’s done and said were not the right thing. There is so much focus on him at 20 and he has to learn to cope with that. He has people round him who can help him deal with it.”

Tim Henman, four-time Wimbledon semi-finalist: “Kyrgios is a performer, an entertainer and will go out and play the tennis he is capable of. He can beat anyone because he is seriously talented. He is a bit different and speaks his mind but the most important thing is that he doesn’t get distracted from what’s happening on the court.”
