The USA is falling into Fascism and Hatred we seen in WWII

f575005d867f03cb475437886197b525

I had an American friend tell me a few days ago “Shaun you should read the Quran, because ALL MUSLIMS want to kill you” Now I was shocked, I have MANY AMAZING MUSLIM FRIENDS, I angered a little and I felt right away the person telling me this was just a scared American person who has NO IDEA what the Muslim Culture actually is when you set aside an old book. The Ironic part is this person telling me this is a Catholic!!! Now, I was born Catholic, I don’t hate ANYONE, but I walked away from Religion for my reasons, I respect anyone’s will, UNLESS THE THOUGHTS THEY HAVE IMPACT OUR WORLD BADLY. The person who told me “Your Muslim Friends Want To Kill You” is actually a very decent person, I offered this person to join my Facebook wall but made him aware my Facebook wall is full of people who would find him VERY OFFENSIVE! So he refused to join my page and debate. Why? Let me tell you why I think this person didn’t want to debate clever Scottish/European/ALL people, I think it’s because he is in a group of American people WHO JUST CAN’T DEBATE, be it because of an old book, or someone else’s old book they live by. It’s pathetic; it’s offensive to the World, a World that is slowly walking away from the USA. A USA that will build a wall to keep people out, but please remember, walls keep people in too. America, I will leave some old blogs below, but YOU ARE FALLING AND DYING, our only hope is American people do not stop marching and protesting, that the clever Americans with free minds to see clearly will keep walking and talking. America is close to becoming Fascist. The WORLD warned the USA, I was called a ‘Lone Voice’ by another Religious person who had NO IDEA of the Millions of people, 10’s of Millions, maybe a Billion or more people like me, trying hard to get people to look past a book of scripture and NOT BE SCARED TO DEATH WITH LIES FROM MEDIA AND FALSE PROPHETS. We failed to get America voters to see the lies 😦 So America the ball is now in your hands, the World will help you, but 1st you need to admit you need help. I believe, as I have for years now that the USA is very close to Civil War, then Martial Law. I have no reason to change my opinion, an opinion I came to with hundreds of people and seen in Millions more for many years now. American friends, American’s who pretend to be my friend but fail BADLY at telling me they like me because they lack the ability to point score, or just point score, they do it so badly IT’S FUNNY 😀 I bought a new car a few weeks back and this one American was VERY QUICK to ask “Where was your car built?” As it was a Ford, I can only imagine how they felt when I told them this Ford car was created in Brazil, made in India and sold throughout Europe from Germany, NOT 1 AMERICAN HAND HAS TOUCHED MY NEW FORD CAR!, how sad is that type of person? Scary sad? or just scary? This person like the ‘Muslim Hater’ above is a Trump voter who is scared. I stopped blogging as it hurts my hands and it confuses my mind, so I need help to type this. I am happy and blessed I live in a free and democratic Country, and not 1 American can sit ANYWHERE these days and say “People are STILL flocking to the USA for a better life” because People are leaving the USA today. The American dream IS DEAD, it is no longer ‘Land of the free, home of the brave’, it is now ‘Land of the scared, home of the brainwashed 😦

czorbe0xcaanb93Below is a song from the movie ‘Selma’ and the Oscar acceptance speech by two men who could see a Trump type America was a clear and present danger to the USA. People cried after they spoke in the 2nd video below, I REFUSE to put a label or colour on anyone who cried. The ability to cry for Humanity I believe needs a free mind. If your mind is bound by a book or the lies from Politics and Media of any kind, it is IMPOSSIBLE to make a clear statement, debate or give reason to your choices. THIS!! Is why (SOME) American’s just can’t debate, or talk, they just throw hate at people and block them. This is ignorance, I can handle ignorance, but the World can’t and won’t help a people who deny their own selfish ignorance. Song and Oscar winners warning below. Also some old blogs I did going as far back as 2014, at the bottom of ALL blogs are 3 more pointing to the same story. I am not a blogger no more, I beg people use any of my research and take it and own it, use it as your own, I am not big on being the one who told a story or getting hits on an Internet page. No, I live in the real World. Where do you live?

I have shared this video and it’s lyrics and meaning many times in the last month but I want to see how many people are like me, now I know many are but I would appreciate, even if in private messaging, let me know what you thought of what I am about to write. I had no intention of writing this it’s just words flowing as I listen to Eminem of all people 😀 You will see the funny side of this near the end. I am the kind of person that when I find a new movie, song or comedian I am all over them till I hate them. This song I first heard a month ago, it blew me away, just utterly jaw dropping. Now I will keep this short and to the point. OK, We as humans hide, we don’t fully remove ourselves from some invisible force of nature that stops us doing what very few in our World can do. Below are four video’s, same songs, one live the other the video with it’s very powerful meaning. What I want to focus on here is the live performance by A Great Big World with Christina Aguilera ans also Sam Smith where we see three people who are living their dreams. They are able to open up 100% and show a kind of emotion that scares people. I embrace this feeling always, I always have and today I embrace it more. The power of what we can do as people is both amazing yet so sad.

Quote 34

These two videos below by Sam Smith are just incredible, as I said before I hadn’t hard of this kid till my Mum asked me to buy her the CD, he is a year’s work, as in a year ago he was nobody, his voice is making him something and his expression is to be admired because it is true and honest, he writes his own songs through his life, he has life moments, writes them, then shares them with us, he shares his life with the world through words made into music, I ask what is the difference between him and a blogger? if there is meaning of course, and this is true and the same as any and all forms of art. They are able to just open up and express and show feelings so raw you can almost feel them. I am beginning to understand the World slowly these days. Sure I do step away from the internet and pay bills and do life the same as anyone, but while the amazing medium of the internet is here for us all to express I figure “Why not” – Now some write, some write sport, others poems, some act, they become another person and we see it and we love it but think about it, this actor or singer have taken themselves away from any bad or false emotion and showed the full true human spirit be it in song or acting the part of someone. Example was the performance of David Oyelowo in Selma the movie where he played Dr Martin Luther King 50 years ago in the race struggles that still embellish the USA today, for me he deserved the Oscar for his performance! The song I will share also, why not! lol This is American struggles, again it’s expression. This is a live Oscars song about the movie Selma, then Oscar acceptance speech from Common and John Legend, this is expression of love, peace, harmony at all needed in our World in any malevolent cause

check the 1st song, come on, what you got to lose. You can go be ‘Society later, but for now try and express, release and just be, try it, if you are alone, what do you lose by releasing? Sure you may cry but I cry a lot 😀 Yup! Shaun Gibson cries 😀 Now I would beat any man to death for wronging a loved one of mine or I myself but being able to become the total opposite is something life is teaching me every day these days and it’s amazing, so please, try it? You may smile at the end of it and go and live your dream or go do whatever it is you need to do. I am about to scare myself in some new venture but I am readying myself first. It will be staggering but I am nearly ready, but forget me, check >

The only downside with this is we must always turn the coin around. It is so sad to see people hiding, unable to expose even 1% of themselves to the World in fear another calls them on it. What I mean they live a life where, what others think of them reflects their life, they change to suit others Why would people do this? 😦 See I smiled and showed unhappy there at the same time because it is funny in a way but when you strip it back it is sadly people trapped by life. Life has them is beating them them on the ground and the person has no strength or will to stand up and fight back. I simply ask “Why is this so?” As I become part of the Human race after all these years on prescribed heroin I see it more and more with each passing moment, never mind day. I found a partner who is like me, my partner is so much fun, easy to talk too, just an amazing friend whom I happen to have 4 kids with and have been with since we were both 12 and 14 I think. 😀 Life is good right?

life-quote

So performance is often called ‘Acting” Often when we stand before the act our minds are blown to bits and our heart exposed for a brief moment, some escape this emotion, some drag it to them because the emotion is so strong. But we also have people who are just different, they don’t look at the World the same as the performer, singer, actor, poet, painter or art to writer or blogger, they don’t want to know it but still live good fun happy lives. So we have many types of people, people are just people right? Remember I did blog it, called  People are ‘Strange – Shaun and 2 old ladies ‘The Story <Click) I was in bed laughing about it, I have been caught a few times in the car alone laughing about it 😀 Me and my Dad speak 3/4/5 times a week, sometimes 5 minutes often 5 hours, and we are like this, we both laugh alone at things that happened before. We are idiots but we are very comfy being idiots 😀 So we have ALL kinds of people. Yet we judge, we accuse, we presume, we guess, we tolerate and we become ‘Society. Well the people I hang with, people who work, don’t work, own a business or are in some group, doesn’t matter, people are people, some get each other always. Any kind of person we meet be them nice or nasty will have friends no matter, people are people, please do read that ‘Old Lady story above 😀 But truly, the people I know daily in my life are just ‘Nice people, simple, nothing amazing, just amazing friends. One of my best mates has moved around the corner from me, he was the left side of my brain when I did football for 15 years, we are mates through moments, sad and happy moments, in and away from football and into life, I am happy he is here now, he is an ex Grade 2 referee, 55? year old? LOL I am dead if he reads this and I am wrong, he is just a brilliant mate now a cup of tea and 30 seconds drive away from Dawn and I, my own son’s respect the lad, so people, as I say, are people

Quote 21

So to sum up. Why is it some of us can think so deeply and so passionately yet we have others who cast stones at people for just being happy or being themselves. I said this before and it is getting boring but a person who should know better, who should not be saying what they do to me, no person in that position can ever say what was said. Look it is what it is and I say it for the last time to make my point or to help myself understand the point. People can write a song, go test it then go perform it to 20,000 live and express fully like these 2 below. Yet others dismiss this feeling. I think I started this blog to ask a question and by writing I actually got the answer. That is the beauty of expression though, we change and see things and every moment stands alone, if good we keep if not we let go or try. Life is so easy, some can express, what stops? say me? Going on the X-Factor? What is stopping you from going to drama school, what stops you going to learn something at college as an adult? What is stopping you from living, what is stopping you from smiling, what is stopping you from expressing? What is this fear? I don’t want to feel this life fear, I never will, even on my death bed I know I won’t, but  where does it come from? A person was correct a while back when they said to me “When 2 words will do the job, you use 200” and here I am. So, all that aside, enjoy watching humans just let go. What stops us living these dreams we desire? We must learn this in ourselves. I don’t want fame nor money but when I say “I want to change the World” People laugh. But what I mean is “I want to change my World” So I say, whenever you are asked “Do you want to change the World” answer with “Yeah, my own World” Because this is the only way we will change this crooked World and start to express without feeling judged

Obama goes behind bars in push for criminal justice reform? Really?

We all know Obama meant a certain skin colour < How we spell that word over here. When he is talking in the video right? You will see. I tried to find the video from so link only, but Obama said what John Legend said at the recent Oscar’s that The United States has 25 percent of the world’s prisoners but just 5 percent of its population but has 25 percent of its prisoners and many others have said. Click this link  <Click) for that video. I don’t know American Politics well enough to understand this visit, nor do I need to know. I am just sharing as this is what I do, and I leave a comment here. also I have started to leave comments by others Americans known or not well known at the bottom.What Obama said about the USA being 5% of the World yet have 25% of the WORLDS incarcerated (People in Prison) This word offends me and is punishable by law here, but there are more 8l@ck men in correctional facilities today than there were under slavery in 1850. I will share this video from the Oscars again and sadly people will block me for this. I asked myself  “Why would someone block me for showing this video below”  Then it became clear they must be uneasy with American Racism issues or they are racist. I am sorry, why else would someone from the USA block me for sharing this video below? Please, don’t hide behind your computer, come and tell me why I offend you so much with this historically factual video and comments not made by me, or are you just out of clever words to use? This is your moral dilemma, not mine. American’s also get offended when I say simply “America is 5% of the World” You do understand what this means is simple.

This poor girl got so much abuse :-(

This poor girl got so much abuse 😦

There are 7 Billion people on Earth, there are ‘Roughly 350 Million people inside the USA, so that is 5% of Earth, this is it’s meaning. I have to say this because some must think I mean something else. It’s like the woman who blocked me after I did a blog on dinosaurs, she said “I don’t believe dinosaurs existed”  Then deleted me 😀 The USA is 37 in literature. This isn’t only your kids, this is the entire Country they get this %, go Google, it’s there. I have started to leave Tweets by others below so people know I am not speaking on or for myself These words are mine, suggestion mostly, the rest is right out of the USA.

~~Via: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/07/16/obama-making-1st-visit-by-sitting-president-to-federal-prison/ ~~

President Barack Obama, who wrote in his memoir about using marijuana and cocaine as a youth, became the first sitting president to tour a federal prison on Thursday and met drug-offense inmates, saying he could have been in their place if not for the advantages he had growing up.

Obama spoke with inmates and toured El Reno federal prison, which holds 1300 inmates, 146 percent of its capacity. He vowed to work with wardens and corrections officers to address overcrowding, a piece of his administration’s wide-ranging criminal justice reform agenda.

Obama walked down the prison’s dimly-lit gray halls and stood at the door of Cell 123, Block B, noticing its two occupants’ sparse supplies: brown uniforms, mesh laundry bags, dish soap and a few books. Six non-violent drug offenders shared their stories with Obama. Their discussions will air on HBO’s “Vice” documentary program in September.

Speaking to reporters after their discussion, Obama reflected, “These are young people who made mistakes that aren’t that different from mistakes I made.” “The difference is they did not have the support structure, the second chances, the resources that would allow them to survive these mistakes,” he said.

More than 1.5 million Americans were in state or federal prisons at the end of 2013, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. African-Americans were 15 percent of the U.S. population at that time but accounted for about a third of its prisoners.

Obama wrote about his own drug use in his memoir “Dreams from my Father” and has made helping young black and Hispanic boys a priority of his remaining time in office through a program called “My Brother’s Keeper.” The issue is one he has said he intends to remain committed to after he leaves office in 2017.

For the unprecedented visit, guards cleared prisoners from the building where Obama toured and spoke. He said the criminal justice system should do a better job of discerning between young drug offenders from poor backgrounds and hardened, violent criminals. “We have to consider whether this is the smartest way for us to control crime and rehabilitate individuals,” Obama said.

NOT THE HARSHEST OF U.S. PRISONS

El Reno is a medium-security prison. David Fathi, director of the National Prison Project at the American Civil Liberties Union, said the visit would not show Obama the extent of overcrowding or lengthy stints in solitary confinement that exist at maximum-security prisons.

“He’s not going to see the harshest and most restrictive and most problematic conditions in the federal prison system,” Fathi said. But, Fathi said, Obama deserves credit for being the first president to visit a federal prison and use his position to draw attention to the flawed system.

As his time in office begins to draw to a close, Obama has become more outspoken, while also enjoying a run of victories on Pacific Rim trade, his healthcare law, same-sex marriage rights and, earlier this week, a historic nuclear agreement with Iran. Overhauling prison sentencing is an issue he has set as a key goal for his final months in the White House. On Tuesday, he called on the U.S. Congress to send him a sentencing reform bill by the end of the year.

Soaring U.S. incarceration followed a 1980s-1990s drug-crime crackdown. Mandatory minimum-sentencing guidelines from then would be altered under steps being considered in Congress for non-violent drug offenders. The United States has 25 percent of the world’s prisoners but just 5 percent of its population but has 25 percent of its prisoners.

USA: South Carolina Votes To Banish Confederate Flag

The South Carolina House approved the move by 94-20 votes

The South Carolina House approved the move by 94-20 votes

Seems to me when a cause is so strong, when a people’s rights are too powerful, when people stand up and stay standing up amazing things can happen. I won’t pretend to know the full history here, I am from Scotland and I have a vague understanding of what this flag means to some and means to others and know hatred and love exist in both. Like in Scotland where a British Flag can be offensive to some I get it in that way. It is for America to understand the why’s and if’s and how’s, well I am done trying to explain democracy in action to people so I will leave it be. Know however when a people stand up and and their cause is JUST!! They will in the end win. But this isn’t about winners or losers America, this is democracy at work for once. We are told this is a Democratic World us 1st World people live in, I will let you be the judge. A movement is a movement, it started yesterday or 50 years ago, doesn’t matter, as long as RIGHT is done. American only you can judge this one, I just see good here, but what do I know right? 😉

South Carolina lawmakers have agreed after an impassioned debate to banish the Confederate flag from the grounds of the statehouse. The measure was passed in a predawn vote on Thursday by 94-20. The same bill cleared the state Senate on Monday by 37-3. Republican Governor Nikki Haley, who begged lawmakers to take down the flag after last month’s massacre of nine black people at a church, will sign the legislation this afternoon.

The banner will be taken down on Friday morning and removed to a local history museum.

Some claim the flag as a symbol of Southern pride and heritage

Some claim the flag as a symbol of Southern pride and heritage

Dylann Roof, 21, the white suspect charged with the killings, has been seen in online photos flaunting the Confederate banner. Writing on her Facebook page, Governor Haley said: “It is a new day in South Carolina, a day we can all be proud of, a day that truly brings us all together as we continue to heal, as one people and one state.”

There were tears and anger as the legislators deliberated well into the night. Republican Jenny Horne reminded her colleagues she was a descendent of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. But she lambasted members of her party for introducing amendments to stall the debate.

She wept as she spoke of Senator Clementa Pinckney, the legislator and pastor at the Charleston church, who died alongside his parishioners. “For the widow of Senator Pinckney and his two young daughters, that would be adding insult to injury and I will not be a part of it!” she shouted into a microphone.

Republican Mike Pitts fondly recalled playing with a Confederate ancestor’s cavalry sword while growing up. He said the soldiers of the Confederacy, who fought a doomed pro-slavery cause, should be honoured in the same way as those who served in Iraq or Afghanistan. “I’m willing to move that flag at some point if it causes a twinge in the hearts of my friends,” he told fellow lawmakers. “But I’ll ask for something in return.”

Emotional lawmakers hugged in the House chamber following Thursday’s vote. The outcome is all the more significant because South Carolina was the first state to leave the Union in 1860 ahead of the American Civil War.

The flag was first raised over the dome of its statehouse in 1961 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of that conflict. Under a compromise reached in 2000, it was taken down and raised instead by a Confederate memorial on the lawn outside the Republican-dominated legislature. Some claim it as a symbol of Southern pride and heritage, but it was widely seen as toxic after the church shooting.

MCKINNEY, Texas (AP) — A white police officer recorded on video pushing a black girl to the ground at a North Texas pool party resigned from the police force Tuesday.

Officer David Eric Casebolt’s actions were “indefensible,” McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley said at a press conference after the officer submitted his resignation. But Casebolt was not pressured to quit the force, Conley said.

A teenager at the party posted a video online showing the officer pushing a bikini-clad girl to the ground and brandishing his gun to other black teens when officers responded last Friday to calls about the pool party at a community-owned McKinney swimming pool. The 41-year-old former Texas state trooper and 10-year veteran of the McKinney force was put on administrative leave after the incident. His lawyer, Jane Bishkin of Dallas, confirmed Tuesday he had quit the force. Conley said a review of the incident video showed that “our policies, our training and our practices do not support his actions.”

Twelve officers responded to the report of fights and a disturbance at the pool party at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool in an affluent area of western McKinney. “Eleven of them performed according to their training,” Conley said. Casebolt did not, he said.

“He came into the call out of control and the video showed he was out of control during the incident,” Conley said.Casebolt’s actions are under investigation and no decision has been made whether charges will be filed against him, Conley said. Charges of interfering with an officer and evading arrest against the only man arrested during Friday’s incident have been dropped, Conley said. Everyone else detained was released.

Bishkin declined to say where Casebolt is now and said the officer had received death threats. The attorney said she would release more information at a news conference Wednesday. The incident prompted criticism of the affluent suburb of McKinney north of Dallas, which is among the nation’s fastest growing cities, has highly regarded public schools and was ranked by one publication as America’s best place to live.

People who demonstrated this week at a McKinney school compared the city to Baltimore and Ferguson, Missouri, where use of force by police triggered widespread protests and violence. The resignation is a step in the right direction, said Dominique Alexander, president of the Dallas area-Next Generation Action Network and organizer of the demonstrations.”We still need a serious investigation into the charges that need to be brought against him in this matter,” Alexander said, adding that Casebolt should be drug tested.

The NAACP is asking the U.S. Department of Justice to review the procedures of the McKinney police force, stopping short of asking for a formal investigation. A review of department policies is needed to ensure officers are responding appropriately to calls involving minorities, the local NAACP chapter said.

Casebolt had been accused of excessive force in a 2007 arrest as part of a federal lawsuit that named him along with other officers. The officers arrested Albert Brown Jr., who authorities said was found with crack cocaine during a traffic stop. Brown, who is black, accused the officers of forcibly searching him after pulling down his pants and slamming his head against a car hood. A defense attorney denied Brown’s accusations. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2009. The city of McKinney also has been the target of a lawsuit accusing it of racial segregation in public housing.

A lawsuit in 2008 accused the McKinney Housing Authority of restricting federally subsidized public housing for low-income families to older neighborhoods east of U.S. 75. The lawsuit said that in the Dallas area, 85 percent of those receiving so-called “Section 8” housing vouchers are African Americans.Protestors march Monday, June 8, 2015, during a demonstration in response to an incident at a commun … The lawsuit was settled in 2012 with a consent decree, which is an agreement to take specific actions without admitting guilt. A message left with the housing authority seeking comment wasn’t returned Tuesday.

The scrutiny contrasts with McKinney’s high ranking for its quality of life. A Time Inc. publication last year said the city was the best place to live in America, with a median family income in excess of $96,000 and job growth projected at 13 percent. Crime is comparatively low and like other metropolitan suburbs in Texas, McKinney has seen unprecedented expansion. Its population has tripled in the last 15 years to approximately 155,000. About 75 percent of residents are white while nearly 11 percent are black.

mckinney-cop-abusing-black-girl.si

A kids party and this fool runs in with a gun!! Watch the video. White kids you say America?

First we AGAIN must take into account the color of the kids skin, all of them. Again this is White cops about to, threatening to shoot bl@ck kids. This was an arranged party, there were no complaints from anyone, nobody called the police, they just drove up and seen these ‘BL@CK KIDS’ and went in, scaring half of them to death with guns raised. I don’t know what is wrong with you America but it this was ANY PART of the Civilized World we would be on the streets demanding better policing TILL IT STOPPED. Where there are guns there are itchy fingers then death. I am not going to lecture your ways all the way over here in Scotland but who is making a big deal out of this? Remember ‘Glory’ Maybe you guys in America need a new mountain to climb because the one Martin Luther King gave you has fallen, as said, SELMA IS NOW!! That is why they walked through Ferguson with their hands up. Here, this is what I see, this is what I want to see. I loved this!! Video of the incident below with links. This is just awful, what if these were white kids? Yeah!! Now we want to talk America!

Wake up America, racism is a card that is being played on you AGAIN. In 2015, come on!!!

A McKinney, Texas police officer has been suspended after a clip went viral showing him throwing a black bikini-clad teenager to the ground and chasing her friends with a gun. Police were called in because of “too many black teens” partying in the area. A video filmed on June 5 and posted on YouTube by Brandon Brooks has scored hundreds of thousands of views, causing a wave of online outrage. It shows McKinney police officers forcing a group of black teenagers dressed in sportswear and bathing suits to the ground, and chasing those who do not comply with what look like flashlights or Tasers. They also swear at the kids.  One particularly aggressive officer is seen dispersing a group of girls, shouting “I don’t care, you’re leaving now.” Moments later he is seen walking up to and detaining a black female teen who is reluctant to leave immediately.

Then, all of a sudden, the cop throws the bikini-clad girl to the ground. When other girls run to the scene, he violently pushes them away before producing a gun and briefly chasing two of the black teens. He then returns to the girl, forces her face down, and sits on her back to handcuff her. The teenager repeatedly cries “Oh my momma, oh God!” and bursts into tears.
The officer has been identified by local media as Eric Casebolt, although the McKinney Police Department did not immediately disclose his name. The department, however, said that an officer had been placed on administrative leave following the incident. An investigation has also been launched.
 “Several concerns about the conduct of one of the officers at the scene have been raised,” local police Chief Greg Conley told reporters on Sunday. He described the 14-year-old female as having been“temporarily detained” and then “ultimately released to her parents.”

How much more are you guys going to take of this?

How much more are you guys going to take of this?

Meanwhile, the reason for the police action, which involved a dozen officers dispersing a party at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool, has raised further questions. Police spokesperson Sabrina Boston said police were called in due to “multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave.” According to Boston, officers “encountered a large crowd that refused to comply with police commands”and were given additional reinforcement.  Police have been accused of racial prejudice in the incident, as officers appeared to be picky about which of the 70 teens of different ethnicities they forcefully detained.

“Everyone who was getting put on the ground was black, Mexican, Arabic,” said Brooks, who shot the footage, and is white himself, according to inquisitr.com. “[The cop] didn’t even look at me. It was kind of like I was invisible.”  Meanwhile, the father of the girl, Jahi Adisa Bakari, made a public call on social media for Casebolt to be “fired immediately.”

‘Selma’ Movie Review

Selma-2015-online

Had I been an American watching this I would have been proud, happy that my nation had stepped away from the precipice of being a truly awful racist nation for all of time. As American’s you must look back to Malcolm X and Martin Luther King and other civil rights movement activists as a source of knowing “If I stand up, I will win” Look back to the days told in ‘Selma’ who really thought at the start the black people would win what they have, the POTUS your country is standing of proof Martin Luther King’s work and all who came before and after him. The work is not done, major racism issues still need fixed, why do you think Common sang the words “We walked through Ferguson with our hands up” Because today there are still issues, there are still racists

Dr King, said this day before he was killed

Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!

And how he was right! The promised land for many did in-fact become real, sadly in 2015 there is too much ill feelings towards the blacks in the USA and this upsets me. From the outside looking in by killing Dr King a Generation of hate was born. The story of ‘Selma’ won one Oscar for ‘Glory’ a song by Common and John Legend. In truth the part played by King from David Oyelowo was unreal. David is English born through Kenyan parents. His presence on the big screen should not be overlooked, he told the story with his heart. When ‘Glory’ was sung at the Oscar’s he cried, he cried hard.

If you are looking to watch a movie watch ‘Selma’ It made me proud to be HUMAN never mind Scottish or black or white. It just made me smile. King knew he would not see the promised land but God told him the promised land of fairness will be in part met. America you are a young nation, I have said this many times. 50 years ago this story was set, 50 years ago Europe and Scotland where I am had seen all this before and dealt through it. You have way to go America but I believe in the love of you all America.

Stand up, put your hands up! Don’t allow your police to own you.

‘Glory’ and ‘Selma’ – A Song To Cure Racist USA – Deal or Ignore

Chris Pine moved to tears by Glory at the Oscars

Common and John Legend are two amazing American artists in what they do. The song ‘Glory’ had me in tears watching this year’s Oscars for the movie ‘Selma’, it had the whole famous audience in tears also. When I say ‘Racist USA’ I ask you watch the song and listen to the lyrics and the acceptance speech by Common and John from the Oscars. America does have racial tension, Ferguson, mentioned in the lyrics of this song below is one of many religious issues the USA has. When Commons and John Legend spoke in the video at the bottom both stated the same as I do. See I don’t make news up, I don’t see a picture and shape it myself, no! I share the truth with proof, the fact some want to ignore the truth and proof is their choice. Ignorance is bliss, denying ignorance is racism right there in the context of this article. Wake up America, your own people tell me it’s Racist, I know a few Christians who have said “Shaun the African Americans are the cause of America’s problems” Well I say when you treat a people with utter contempt like the USA shows to (WE DON’T SPEAK LIKE THIS IN SCOTLAND SO I AM SORRY) Black people. We don’t say “That Black person” We say “That person” The American media I can see push the ‘Black’ word daily, a Government and media who push an already simmering racist melting pot. In truth America has came full circle, but it is not there yet. December 18th 1865, slavery ended in the United States, fast forward to 2015 there is an African American POTUS, famous actors, singers and politicians, so from the outside looking in you can easily be fooled the issue is solved, IT IS NOT! The racial tension still exists, I have heard it and seen it. America I tire of “But Shaun I can’t change the World” I say “Go change your own World” The World will only change if we each change it, if we all decide we want to be better, treat others better and even though we may not agree with each other we must learn to accept each other. I am not talking just the USA here, I am talking to the World. Stand up, be counted and do and say what you can. I have right here right now, will you? If I can write and try to change issues what can you do? Be lazy? Hide behind something invisible? YOU CAN DO BETTER!! Watch your media churn out the word ‘Black’ USA. But America maybe you know no better? You are very young species of people in a very young Country, my last house was older than the USA, I am just saying that is possible, youthful country? Maybe you are misinformed? As misinformed as my Scottish Kin were when we had a chance to vote ourselves into freedom last year. Yeah, all populous and people make mistakes or are ill-informed. Where do you stand? Are you informed or do you hide behind a ready made excuse? Below is 2015 USA. Yeah, he was murdered. Often I watch the black gospel choirs and they are joyous and that joy is born from murder, torture, rape, inequality and worse. Isn’t that something? Look to White Church’s and you see unhappy people singing less than joyous songs. I ask “Why is this so?” Think about it World!

~~~STORY~~~
Though every year boasts impressive nominees, it’s not very often that the Best Original Song category at the Oscars is one of the most important of the night. But thanks to all of this year’s major snubs, it’s become one of the most anticipated categories at the 2015 ceremony. So when “Glory” won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, there was definitely a round of applause from not just those in attendance to see John Legend and Common accept the award, but viewers watching at home. Because while the nominees also included “Grateful” from Beyond The Lights, “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me, and “Lost Stars” from Begin Again, we all knew there were only two songs that could be in the envelope. Winner “Glory,” or “Everything Is Awesome” from The Lego Movie.
We also knew how deserving “Glory” was of the award, but the fact that its win came moments after an unforgettable live performance only made it that much more apparent. And just when you thought things couldn’t get any more emotional, Legend and Common used their acceptance speech to reflect on the message of the song, and remind us all that while Selma was set in the past, its themes surround us in the present.
Common started off the moving speech:
First off, I’d like to thank God that lives in us all. Recently, John and I got to go to Selma and perform “Glory” on the same bridge that Dr. King and the people of the civil rights movement marched on 50 years ago. This bridge was once a landmark of a divided nation, but now is a symbol for change. The spirit of this bridge transcends race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and social status. The spirit of this bridge connects the kid from the South side of Chicago, dreaming of a better life to those in France standing up for their freedom of expression to the people in Hong Kong protesting for democracy. This bridge was built on hope. Welded with compassion. And elevated by love for all human beings.
~~~

Then Legend took to the microphone, building off those sentiments:

Thank you. Nina Simone said it’s an artist’s duty to reflect the times in which we live. We wrote this song for a film that was based on events that were 50 years ago, but we say Selma is now, because the struggle for justice is right now. We know that the voting rights, the act that they fought for 50 years ago is being compromised right now in this country today. We know that right now the struggle for freedom and justice is real. We live in the most incarcerated country in the world. There are more black men under correctional control today than were under slavery in 1850. When people are marching with our song, we want to tell you that we are with you, we see you, we love you, and march on.

Between their performance, win, and speech, I think it’s safe to say Common and Legend had one of the biggest impacts on the 2015 Academy Awards, and found the best possible use for their spotlight. Watch their speech below.
