The Predicted SNP Westminster seats seem the ONLY way for Labour to get over the line…Now add Labour and SNP together, knowing 326 gets you power 😉

I know just another poll. If we look back to the polls leading up to the referendum they were pretty much spot on. The swings we are seeing just now are unreal. There could be not 1 Tory, Lib Dem, UKIP and as little as 4 Labour. SNP could get all 59 Westminster seats. I believe Scotland changed Politics in Scotland for all time on September 18th 2014. Below are samples from last year, below are the Lord Ashcroft polls. They don’t read well for anyone apart from the SNP!!! Enjoy people, but keep it real. I see arguing on many groups and boards, please remember people are paid by Government to cause division, division is what they count on. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS SCOTLAND!

Referendum polls were fairly spot on looking back. Should today's polls be correct, Tory, Libs and Labour are DEAD in Scotland

With Scotland set to play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the General Election, the study suggests Ed Miliband’s party could suffer huge losses north of the border on May 7. Just over a quarter (27%) of Scots say they will be voting for Labour in the election, according to the Panelbase poll for the Sunday Times, a drop of two points from earlier this month.

In contrast, support for the SNP is up by three points to stand at 48%, the research found. Meanwhile, 16% said they will be voting Conservative, 4% back the Liberal Democrats, 3% support Ukip and 2% will vote Green.

Labour won 41 seats in Scotland in the 2010 election but that could be slashed to just five after May 7, the research suggests.

At the same time, the SNP could see the number of MPs it has rise from six to 53. The Liberal Democrats could lose all but one of the 11 seats they won five years ago, while Scotland could have no Conservative MPs. Panelbase questioned 1,044 voters in Scotland between April 20 and April 23, with SNP election campaign director Angus Robertson saying the results are a “further indication that the momentum in this campaign is firmly with the SNP”.

Mr Robertson said support for the SNP has “risen even further in the last three weeks” while backing for the Labour Party, which is led in Scotland by Jim Murphy, has fallen. “Of course we are taking absolutely nothing for granted and will continue to work as hard as we can to win the trust of people across Scotland,” Mr Robertson said. “The SNP are committed to working with other progressive voices from across the UK to achieve an alternative to cuts – and this poll is the latest indication that people are backing the SNP to make Scotland stronger at Westminster.”

Staggering turn around. Labour lies and siding with Tories has not been forgotten

Staggering turn around. Labour lies and siding with Tories has not been forgotten

Former Labour first minister Lord McConnell claimed a “protest movement” had caused the surge in support for the SNP, as he warned people a UK General Election was not the place to make that protest.

“The General Election is not a protest by-election,” the former Scottish Labour leader told the Sunday Post newspaper. “In the next 10 days we will choose the government of the country, not just someone to represent each of our local areas. “I know the vast majority of people thinking about voting SNP want to see change in Scotland and in the UK, and they are impatient like me. “But they need to make a better choice to bring about that change.”

Scotland Is Standing Back Up! Westminster Watch Out!

Around 7,000 people are said to have been in Glasgow yesterday from all over Scotland. Few of my friends went through from Edinburgh

Around 7,000 people are said to have been in Glasgow yesterday from all over Scotland. Few of my friends went through from Edinburgh

Hope over fear was a tag line used by Tommy Sheridan who was the one who organised this huge event in Glasgow yesterday. When Nicola was there days before she was like a superstar, everyone wanted to see her, speak to her. As a nation we felt confidence before the September 14th 2014 Referendum for Scotland to be free from the British Union. We didn’t feel sorry for ourselves, we waited and then we stood back up. More people will vote SNP on May 7th than every before, with 6 Westminster seats today for the SNP the polls are predicting over 50 with 59 being the most the SNP can win. Should more than 50 SNP Members win and get into Westminster then Home Rule will be given quicker, Scotland will have 1/6 of the voice of BRITISH POLITICS! That is something. The nation has taken to Nicola Sturgeon, I don’t just mean Scotland I mean the UK. She is loved all over with many in England asked if they can vote for her in on May 7th, lets vote SNP into Westminster so Alex Salmond can stand up with us Scotland

Alex Thompson, a good man. War and Political correspondent

Alex Thompson, a good man. War and Political correspondent

Once again the “Sturgeon effect” is in evidence at the top of Buchanan Street – Glasgow’s Oxford Street minus the tat. Huge crowds gathered to hear the SNP leader launch the party’s policy in gender equality. Picture this: no cops visible. No heckling. Not a situation any PR bod could do much to control. And all that in this plastic election? Shurley, indeed, shome mishtake?

What was also obvious was the large number of punters – beyond the usual set-dressing party activists – who had stopped and waited to hear here. This I have not seen in the Scottish election battle on the streets on this scale, and wherever you stand with the SNP it is undeniably impressive.

Even a gender equality launch bang opposite Topman cannot stick to Teflon Nicola. Even the bizarre appearance of ultra-short-skirted cheerleaders cannot stick to Teflon Nicola. Suddenly the ever-broken specs on the Donald Dewar statue overlooking this event look more poignant. What would he have made of the SNP political behemoth roaring across this land when all he wanted was to make independence go away with Devo-Min?

Grave? Spinning?

It took Ms Sturgeon more than 45 minutes to walk the 80 metres from Buchanan Steps to the interview position. The selfie-surge engulfed her as it might a film-star – except you get to doughnut/selfie/blether with Nicola Sturgeon.

Some news just in: there are unconfirmed reports from a forest outside Crieff that a voter has not yet got a selfie with Ms sturgeon. We’ll bring you more later in this blog if we get it…

It is something close to adoration and this cannot be faked – that is the point, and as a seasoned correspondent you report what you see and I have never seen this in a UK election. Never. A few hundred metres away and huge numbers of people are at a rally in support for her party – not organised by her party – which she won’t even visit, much less speak at.

The Tommy Sheridan bandwagon has pitched tent in George Square. For the “socialist firebrand” of tabloid shorthand, today’s “Hope over Fear” rally is going full throttle in the sunshine. Saltires in the breeze, kilts, Kurds, socialists, toddlers with painted faces – all getting in the mood for Tommy S.

It seems largely ignored by the mainstream media in Scotland. But I am intrigued by it all. Strive as I might I cannot see crowds of NHS workers filling Trafalgar Square for Labour – or the Countryside Alliance (remember them?) donning the Barbours for the Tories – or the something-or-other for the Lib Dems.

Couldn’t happen somehow, could it?

That is why George Square matters today. It speaks to a shift of mood in the country.

Russell Brands thought’s on the last leaders debate + Paxman TV debate

brand

Russell is a top man and everything he says I agree with, it is hard to disagree as he really is a very intelligent guy. The saying above he has said a few times, the best debate on this was with Jeremy Paxman, before listening to what Russell has to say about the last leaders debate on TV (Video Below) it really is worthwhile watching his BBC interview where he out debated Paxman. He doesn’t vote because he believes it makes no difference and in a way, Westminster level, he is right, Labour or Tory we all get the same rubbish. Keep in mind he is English and speaks about what England gets. He is into the 3 girls below in terms of progress into a new political system, will it happen? I doubt it, but as Russell says in the 2nd video below, we the voters have the power to change it

Paxman vs Brand – full interview – BBC News

Now you have watched this, listen to the ‘Trews’ his daily You Tube show, he brings up good points about how politicians in the main are not acting real, they are almost acting. He is about to step into politics if he has not already and I believe if he picks the right area he will win, he makes more sense than the majority of Politicians. Tell me what you think if you watched both video’s. He want’s TOTAL Change, kinda like the 3 girls who were in the TV debate. Iconic image this is below. I will leave you with the image of 3 woman who are trying to change UK politics forever and Russell’s video on the leaders debate

Election 2015: TV debate schedule announced

_80481656_finaldebatescomposite

It is proposed that the first two TV debates will include the leaders of seven UK political parties

Via: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-31588700?utm_content=bufferbabd6&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

Lets hope it’s fair and honest. If UKIP are allowed to all, so should everyone. This can’t be a 2 party broadcast at any point. Lets keep it all parties. I don’t know how fair this will be, will there be Audience plants? Lets see I guess…..

David Cameron and Ed Miliband will go head-to-head in a live TV debate a week before the general election, it has been announced.

The proposed showdown will be screened on 30 April on Sky News and Channel 4, broadcasters said, after drawing lots.

The BBC and ITV plan to stage debates involving the Conservatives, Labour, the Lib Dems, Green Party, UKIP, the SNP and Plaid Cymru.

ITV will host a debate on 2 April and the BBC’s will be on 16 April.

Mr Cameron has yet to confirm whether he will take part in any or all of the debates ahead of the 7 May general election, having expressed concern at the exclusion of the Democratic Unionist Party from the format proposed by the broadcasters.

‘Own minds’

However, the broadcasters have said the debates would go ahead regardless of whether any party leader refused to take part.

Labour’s election strategy chief Douglas Alexander has written to Conservative party chairman Grant Shapps asking him to confirm whether Mr Cameron will take part in the TV debates.

“Failure to answer this question will lead many to conclude that you and Mr Cameron are reluctant to give the British people the chance to make up their own minds,” he wrote in the letter.

The seven-party debate format was proposed after the broadcasters failed to reach agreement with the political parties over the original proposals, which only included the Conservatives, Labour, Lib Dems and UKIP.

Mr Cameron had previously refused to take part unless the Green Party were included, saying “all national parties” should be represented – prompting a political row and a rethink from the broadcasters.

STV poll: SNP at 52% as Labour faces general election annihilation

B74McJGCYAAu1IRBy @ShaunyNews Via http://news.stv.tv/scotland-decides/news/307347-stv-poll-snp-at-52-as-murphy-fails-to-make-general-election-impact/

The chances of the SNP having a deal in a coalition UK government are not as far fetched as many believe. Labour I think, as do many will get more voted in this years General Election, both the SNP and Labour have not ruled out using SNP Westminster seats to get Labour into power. Should this happen Home Rule and a LOT more will come to Scotland very quickly. We must vote SNP or Yes minded people into Holyrood this coming Election. Trust me, Alex is going to Westminster for this very reason. Watch this space, also the SNP has over 50% in the polls, in any other country that would be BIG news, odd it isn’t in Scotland, but we expect this now

Scottish Labour still face political annihilation in the general election as Jim Murphy fails to make an impact on voters, according to a poll commissioned by STV.

The Ipsos Mori survey shows the party would poll 24% of the Scottish vote, just 1% better than in a previous STV poll in October. It would leave them with just four seats in Scotland; Glasgow North East, Glasgow South West, Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, and Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill. Support for the SNP remains at 52% since October’s survey, giving them a projected 55 seats at Westminster.

The poll shows both the Liberal Democrats and Conservative party would be left without any Scottish MPs. The full breakdown of STV’s Ipsos Mori poll is SNP 52%, Scottish Labour 24%, Scottish Conservative 12%, Liberal Democrats 4%, Scottish Green Party 4%, Ukip 1% and 2% for others. These figures see support for both the Lib Dems and Green party drop 2% since STV’s October poll. The Conservative support has risen 2%. Ukip see their share of the vote drop by 1%

via STV

via STV

The 1001 participants were surveyed between January 12 and 19 and asked how they would vote if there was a general election tomorrow.

At the 2010 general election, Labour received 42% of the Scottish vote and the SNP 19.9%.

SNP depute leader Stewart Hosie MP said: “This is another very encouraging poll – with a 28-point SNP lead for May’s Westminster election, this shows remarkable levels of support for the only party that will always put the interests of the people of Scotland front and centre.”

He added: “It’s clear that there is widespread support for the greatest possible devolution of powers to Holyrood. But the Westminster Government simply isn’t willing to give Scotland the powers we need to build a more equal society and more competitive economy – and that is why we need a strong team of SNP MPs elected next May to hold them to account, and ensure that they finally deliver on their vow to Scotland.” Wednesday’s figures, which exclude those who do not know how they would vote, would dramatically reduce Labour’s 40 Scottish MPs, according to seat predictor http://electoralcalculus.co.uk/homepage.html

Those who would lose their seat include Jim Murphy, who took over as the leader of Scottish Labour since STV’s last poll. All of the current Liberal Democrat seats would be lost, including Scottish secretary Alistair Carmichael, Danny Alexander and Charles Kennedy. A Scottish Liberal Democrat spokeswoman said: “These national polls do not reflect the performance of each of our excellent MPs in their seats. People were writing us off in 1999 and then in 2007. Each time we grew stronger.

The Referendum went bad for Scotland, but it will be worse for Labour #RedTory

The Referendum went bad for Scotland, but it will be worse for Labour #RedTory

“We have been gaining a good response when we have been campaigning for our local MPs. The SNP put local services at risk when they took their eye off the ball on day-to-day issues in order to concentrate on their campaign for independence. People know that our record of action in Government shows that only the Liberal Democrats can be trusted with both a strong economy and a fair society.” A spokesman for the Scottish Conservatives said: “Polls will show a range of outcomes between now and May – the important thing is we continue to point out that the only way to ensure the future or the union and stability of the economy is to vote for the Scottish Conservatives.” STV political editor Bernard Ponsonby said: “This poll could be laughed away by Scottish Labour if it was not part of an unmistakable pattern suggesting that the party has big problems. These figures translated into seats would see Labour win only four constituencies with the SNP winning a landslide 55 seats.

“Wise heads in both parties will know that a lot can change in politics and quickly. When a general election is called there is a sense in which the Scottish dimension in politics tends to get lost by the focus on who will govern the UK as a whole. “Worryingly for Labour, there is no evidence at the moment that voters are looking beyond the domestic agenda. That gives the SNP a real window of opportunity. Jim Murphy will be concerned but not panic stricken by these findings. It underlines for him the scale of the challenge he faces. “Senior SNP figures will be buoyed but I suspect that they don’t actually believe they will win 55 seats in May. That said, the prospect of the SNP holding the balance of power in a UK context cannot be dismissed as the stuff of fun and fantasy.”

NIGEL FARAGE ON GAY MARRIAGE

Picture 1

Far, Far, Far, FAAAAARRRR Right

By @ShaunyGibson – Used to be @ ShaunyNews

Via Bite News On You Tube

The chance of UKIP and Nigel having a say on how the UK is run is a very real one. I don’t think the Tory party or Labour can or will get a majority next year in the General Election and it scares many of us even thinking about a UKIP/Tory coalition. I think that is exactly what will happen should no party reach the number to take power. Will the Liberal Democrats go again with the Tory party? I don’t think so, the Liberal Democrats are dead as a party, as dead as Labour in Scotland. Nigel isn’t just to the right, he is so far right wing he is out of sight, Tory PM’s are joining UKIP and people are voting for UKIP in great numbers. Many say they don’t like the way immigration works in the UK where people from all over Europe and get benefits from the Government, housing from the Government. I am all for immigration control to a point but Nigel would get out of Europe and close the borders to ALL immigration. This might be you who has met a partner somewhere in the World and want to come back to the UK and be in love and get married. This is the real danger with UKIP. Also he said he would dissolve the Scottish Parliament. For Scotland’s sake we MUST vote the SNP in record numbers. Video and links below

Nigel will 100% get the UK out of Europe and we really don't want that, do we?
